2019 Sierra Madre Vineyard Pinot Noir
Santa Maria Valley
The 2019 CRŪ Sierra Madre Pinot Noir is sourced solely from the Sierra Madre Vineyard. First planted in 1971, the vineyard is located in Northern Santa Barbara County, near the western edge of the Santa Maria Valley. The Sierra Madre Vineyard is recognized as one of California’s finest cool-climate vineyards and the coldest vineyard in the state leading to a long, drawn-out growing season.
This velvety wine has a wonderful dark cherry color with layered aromas of cherry, strawberry, rose petals and baking spices. The palate is delightfully balanced with acidity and flavors of blackberries, raspberries and a hint of watermelon. Notes of rich tannin lead into the long, silky finish.
Pairing Suggestion:
We recommend pairing this velvety and fruit-forward wine with filet topped with mushroom red wine sauce.
