2017 Sierra Madre Vineyard Chardonnay
Santa Maria Valley
The Sierra Madre Vineyard is located in Northern Santa Barbara County, near the western edge of the Santa Maria Valley. This beautiful wine showcases the combination of a premier vineyard site and the artisan craft of our winemaker. The Sierra Madre Chardonnay was aged 9 months on the stirred lees in 20% new French Oak barrels. The wine also went through malolactic fermentation which softened the natural acidity and cultivated aromas of green apple, pineapple and pie crust. The palate is fruit forward, yet full bodied with elegant cream, pear and baking spices.
This stylish wine is ideal for pairing with rich crab or creamy corn gazpacho.
