Description

Appellation:

Edna Valley is the coolest growing region in all of California at a mere 5.4 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The ocean’s influence creates an unusually long growing season and allows the fruit in these vineyards to ripen to its full flavor while preserving its trademark lively acidity. In short, the Edna Valley is one of the best places on earth for growing pure, vibrant white varietals.

Varietal:

100% Albarino

Pairing suggestion:

The 2019 CRŪ Albariño is a lovely example of how aging in stainless steel brings out the true essence of this wine. The fermentation enhances the natural bright fruit characteristics found in Albariño, intensifying the zingy notes of lime, green apple and peach on the nose. The bright aromas lead into flavors of citrus and spice with a light note of sponge cake on the long finish.

The acidity in this Albariño pairs beautifully with rich sauces and seafood. Try it with fresh pasta and shrimp in a creamy Alfredo sauce or crab melts topped with avocado and Gruyère cheese.
